The State Data Centre (SDC) was set up by the Government of Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram to boost the eGovernance activities of the State. The 5000 square feet facility is located at Co-Bank Towers, Trivandrum and operational since 2005. Kerala is the first state in the country to have a state-of-the-art Data Centre exclusively for eGovernance activities. SDC currently hosts more than a hundred Government websites and web applications. KELTRON manages the entire services of State Data Centre and related two Networking Operating Centres of Government of Kerala.
1Gbps Intranet link to the Kerala State Wide Area Network (KSWAN) facilitates direct connectivity to the State Government Offices linked to it. SDC Services are offered free-of-cost to Government Departments and allied organizations. Hosting of Government web sites, after migration from overseas web-servers as per directions of IT Department, are facilitated at the SDC under the Content Management Framework (CMF) platform
